Great Falls Montana to Cardston, Alberta, Canada 26th August 2013

Canada

We decided that we couldn't come this far North and not spend some time in Canada.

 On the way we went around the edge of Glacier National Park but plan to go back and spend a couple of days in the park on our way back down south.

During our travels we meet some great people and today was no different.  We met Steve, from Heart Butte, and his family at our fuel stop in Browning. 

Big Timber to Great Falls 25th August 2013

Big to Great

A relatively quiet day today.  We left Big Timber, where some of the Fire Fighters are staying that have been tackling some of the fires in the area.  We then rode through a lot of cropping area and then back into some more great mountain scenery. Along the way we saw more Elk & Antelope but only managed to video them on our GoPro.

Another great ride from Wyoming in to Montana through two great passes.
A few Deer and some more great little Chipmunks but no more Bear.

Yellowstone 23 August 2013

Yellowstone National Park, Bear & Hot Rods.

The day started off pretty quietly.  We saw a nice little deer on the way into Yellowstone and then not much else in the way of wild life.

We did get to Old Faithful just in time to see it go off.

On the way out of the park we had to ride past a big Bison I could have reached out and touched it, it was amazing. It was raining so neither of us had our camera out.

THEN on the way back to Cody (about 20 miles out) I spotted a beautiful big Bear in the river.  A quick U-turn and Maurice was able to get a great photo of him or her.  Oh My God it was fantastic to see one not caged up, how anyone shoots these things for sport is beyond me.

Just when we thought the day was done just across the road from our hotel was the Cody Country Car Show.

On the way into Cody, this little guy was with a few other running along the fence line.

The Irma Hotel in Cody named after Cody's daughter.

Every week night they have a gun fight out front of the hotel.

Our first stop for breakfast was a little place next to the beautiful old Occidental Hotel in Buffalo.

Another great ride through wonderful scenery but again it is really hard to show it on these photo's.
