Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump
Yes that is the official name of the place we stopped at on the way to Calgary. It is in fact a National historical site that is very interesting. You wouldn't know it though unless you took the tour through the attached museum. The way the Native Americans hunted hundreds of years ago was ingenious. The whole animal was used bones and all, not just the fur or meat but the entire buffalo was used for their survival not just killed for sport.
After a good look around we headed for Calgary where we had a good night in an Irish pub!
